Below is the breakdown of what has been awarded to student athletes since 2015 through the Kyle Brake Memorial Sports Scholarship Fund.
In 2015, we assisted 74 children by providing funds for registration/equipment fees for various sports totaling over $10,756.42.
In 2015, Kyle would have been a graduating senior from Wheat Ridge High School. In his memory we began offering a $1500.00 scholarship to a Senior who was continuing their education (college or trade school). In 2015 we awarded two scholarships totaling $3,000.00.
In 2016, 76 student athletes were assisted totaling $8,850.75 and we offered 4 scholarships to graduating Seniors from Wheat Ridge High School who were continuing their education which was $1,500 per student for a total of $6,000.00.
In 2017 we were able to assist 64 children with registration/equipment fees which totaled $6,361.00 and we offered 4 scholarships to graduating Seniors from Wheat Ridge High School who were continuing their education which was $1,500 per student for a total of $6,000.00.
In 2018, 43 student athletes were able to participated in sports with our assistance. Total registration/equipment fees provided was $5,923 and we also offered 1 scholarship to a graduating Senior from Wheat Ridge High School who was continuing their education in the amount of $1,500.00.
In 2019, we are still providing support to our community’s young athletes. In May 2019, we awarded 1 scholarship to a graduating Senior from Wheat Ridge High School who was continuing their education in the amount of $1,500.00.
